# Entity API & Tool Catalog

<!-- AUTO-GENERATED:entity-api-catalog — DO NOT EDIT MANUALLY. Run pnpm generate:docs to regenerate. -->

The assistant can act on entities through the generic entity tools
(exposed via MCP `tools/list` and the REST shim `POST /api/v1/system/mcp/call`).
Every call is RBAC-enforced for the current user; **write tools always
require user confirmation** before dispatching.

## Tools

| Tool | Kind | Arguments | Notes |
|------|------|-----------|-------|
| `list_available_entities` | read | `—` | Discovery: all (module, entity) + supported operations + online status. Always call first. |
| `get_entity_meta` | read | `module, entity` | Field schema for create/update — required fields, types, flags. |
| `list_entities` | read | `module, entity, search?, search_in?, sort_key?, sort_dir?, page?, page_size?, filters?, deleted_records?, aggregate?` | Paginated list; `aggregate` switches to COUNT/SUM/AVG/MIN/MAX. |
| `get_entity` | read | `module, entity, uuid` | Single record by UUID. |
| `get_entity_audit` | read | `module, entity, uuid, page?, page_size?` | Audit history for one record. |
| `search_docs` | read | `embedding, keywords?, limit?, repo?` | Docs KB vector+keyword search (caller supplies the embedding). |
| `create_entity` | write | `module, entity, data` | data keys = snake_case entity fields; fetch get_entity_meta first. |
| `update_entity` | write | `module, entity, uuid, data` | Partial update — only provided fields change. |
| `delete_entity` | write | `module, entity, uuid, version` | Soft-delete; `version` is the optimistic-concurrency guard. |
| `restore_entity` | write | `module, entity, uuid, version` | Restores a soft-deleted record. |
| `bulk_entity_action` | write | `module, entity, action, items[]` | action: delete|restore; items: up to 100 {uuid, version} pairs. |
| `manage_service` | write | `action, code?, data?` | Service registry: list|get|activate|update|delete (delete is permanent). |

## Entity operation matrix

Valid `(module, entity)` pairs and the operations each supports.
Microservice entities appear dynamically — `list_available_entities` is
the authoritative live source.

| Module | Entity | Label | Supported operations |
|--------|--------|-------|----------------------|
| `be` | `customer` | Customer | list, get, create, update, delete, restore, audit, meta |
| `be` | `organization` | Organization | list, get, create, update, delete, restore, audit, meta |
| `be` | `user_profile` | User Profile | list, get, update, restore, audit, meta |
| `be` | `auth_event` | Auth Events | list, aggregate, meta |
